Sheboygan Visual Artists

Isabel Little

Our environment and the world around us is depicted in our art.  This is a tremendous challenge from the simplest form to the most complex.  Art encourages the viewer to experience the feeling of being there.

I've always had an interest in art and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Bradley University in Peoria, IL.  My first job was in the art department at Hallmark Greeting Card Co. in Kansas City, Mo.  This was a good background for my thirty year teaching career in public schools. My first 10 years of teaching were in Art.  After marriage and starting a family I returned and taught the next 20 years in Early Childhood Education. I had not done any serious painting for 50 years and thanks to Sue Baumgart's water color class at the Senior Center, I began painting.  We are new to the area, having moved here to be near our children. We find this to be a very lovely area with a friendly population and we are enjoying our move to Sheboygan.
